Actually, as the animal guides/best friend of the avatar, Appa dies along with Aang, just like how Roku and his dragon died. Please take a razor and shave that thing off your pretty little face. Thank you. Considering Yakone was the same age as Aang and was raised in the Northern Water Tribe, I wonder if the two saw each other at all when Aang was in the water tribe…. 
Why do i find more joy in these kind of things than actual people…
